Has the Major League Baseball lockout shutdown your plans to watch Spring Training baseball here at Roger Dean Chevrolet Stadium in Jupiter?

No worries.

Love Street Outdoor Center has a bullpen full of alternative outdoor fun activities.

KAYAK ON JUPITER INLET WATERWAYS

Clear waters makes spotting manatees, sea turtles and tropical fish a breeze as you float along the thick mangroves.

On a stand-up paddle board, kayak or canoe, glide by the historic Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse. Lit every night, the light from the 1860-built structure can be seen by boaters from 25 miles out at sea.

BIRDWATCHING – ANOTHER WAY TO SEE THE REDBIRDS

Cardinals aren’t the only birds you’ll see on a boat or kayaking tour in Jupiter. Love Street Outdoor Center’s expert guides offer Grapefruit League fans a chance to see blue herons, roseatte spoonbills, egrets, woodpeckers, osprey, pelicans and more along the waterways.

Can’t tell a pelican from a pontoon boat? No matter. Agile as any athlete, the wide-winged, silent, rapid birds are a thrill to watch. Your LSOC guide will help you tell the players, even if you don’t have a program.

PEDAL THROUGH JUPITER’S BEAUTIFUL, HISTORIC WATERFRONT

The Celestial Railroad — with heavenly stops at Venus, Mars and Juno — once operated in Jupiter.

And don’t be fooled by the beautiful, turquoise, sultry Jupiter Inlet. That waterway and the waters surrounding it have been treacherous for boaters since Spanish galleons first started arriving with their hulls full of treasure in the 1600’s

And why the heck is that road called Love Street?

You’ll learn about such Jupiter lore when you take a bicycle tour along the waterway and A1A. Your Love Street Outdoor Center guide will take you through DuBois Park, one of Palm Beach County prettiest and smallest outdoor playgrounds. Through mangroves, past the historic Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse, along wide beaches and the Jupiter Inlet jetty, you’re sure to enjoy your 90-minute adventure.

You’re last inning will at Charlie & Joe’s at Love Street, Jupiter’s latest outdoor dining and boating attraction. Sit back, have a beverage or snack, watch the kayaking in Jupiter and enjoy!

And get a pretty good workout too.

HAVE YOUR OWN HAPPY HOUR ON THE  PON-TIKI

a boat in the water

Past Fullerton Island, along the thick mangroves where juvenile fish hide from predators, cruise by celebrity homes and floating on the Indian River, a boat ride with Love Street Outdoor Center is a fabulous way to get your fill of the Jupiter waterfront experience. Your LSOC boat captain will show you manatees, turtles and other wildlife while enjoying the beautiful tropical water.

The 30-minute or 60-minute boat tour is a perfect dessert or appetizer for a meal at Lucky Shuck’s or one of the other great restaurants at Charlie & Joe’s. The tours depart and return from right behind Charlie & Joe’s.

Want a private tour? Just ask the boat captain. LSOC will make it happen for you.

PEACEFUL PADDLE AT ST. LUCIE PRESERVE

Accessible only by boat, St. Lucie Inlet Preserve State Park is a dream come true for those seeking out the natural Florida.

Love Street Outdoor Center guides will take you on an hourlong boat ride from Jupiter Inlet waterways on the pristine Intracoastal Waterway to the Preserve on the northern tip of Jupiter Island, where the St. Lucie River enters the Atlantic Ocean.

After docking at the Preserve, you’ll walk a tree-lined, shady boardwalk through lush mangrove forests and hammocks of live oaks, cabbage palms, paradise trees and wild limes to a neatly preserved Atlantic Ocean beach, a first stop on your things to do in Jupiter excursion.
